History of BFD
Three generations of dentists dating back to 1953 helped start and build Boyles Family Dentistry. Dr. David Boyles, Sr. opened his dental practice in South Houston in 1952, and was later joined by his son Dr. David Boyles, Jr. who began practicing dentistry in 1978. In 1981, after three years of practicing with his dad, Dr. Boyles, Jr. took a leap of faith and opened a practice in his hometown of Alvin. Since opening the practice, Boyles Family Dentistry has been located on Johnson Street near Alvin High School in the same converted yellow house. Dr. Kim Boyles Butler joined the practice in 2005 and on Wednesdays all three generations could be found practicing together in the same office until Senior retired in 2011 at the young age of 84.
Dr. Boyles, Jr. would continue to practice at this location for over 42 years until his retirement in 2023. During Dr. Boyles, Jr.’s transition to retirement, the practice welcomed Dr. Cristina Abramian as an associate dentist. It has been our pleasure to meet the dental needs of our patients and build relationships for generations, and we look forward to continuing our legacy of compassionate care into the future.

DR. Abramian
Dr. Cristina Abramian grew up in the Rio Grande Valley where she attended South Texas High School for Health Professions and discovered her love for dentistry. She completed her undergraduate studies at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Abramian is a proud graduate of The University of Texas Health Science Center Houston – School of Dentistry class of 2008. Creating a friendly and comfortable environment, Dr. Abramian strives to provide excellent care for patients of all ages. Her focus and motivation are to create awareness on the impact oral health has on our overall health and wellbeing. Dr. Abramian currently resides in League City with her husband and two children. In her spare time, Dr. Abramian enjoys staying active in her community, attending sporting events, and reading. Most of all, she loves spending quality time with her family.
DR. KIM BUTLER
Dr. Kim Butler is a native of Alvin, TX and class of 1997 Yellowjacket. She attended Baylor University and graduated in 2001 with her undergraduate degree in Health Science. In 2005, Dr. Butler graduated from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. Dr. Butler desired to join a well-respected practice and serve the families of her hometown while learning the dental business from her dad, Dr. Boyles, Jr. Dr. Butler has taken numerous post doctorate courses, which have provided her with continuing education, knowledge of advancements in the industry, and demonstrate her commitment to providing contemporary treatment for her patients. She is also a member of the following professional organizations: -American Dental Association -Texas Dental Association -Ninth District Dental Society, to which she was appointed and served as president in 2013 Dr. Butler’s passion for dentistry is driven by her commitment to optimal patient care. Her desire and passion are to provide high quality dental care in a comfortable and relaxed environment. Dr. Butler accomplishes this through first listening to her patients and then following with treatment options that best fit their personal and dental needs. When Dr. Butler is not at work, she is chasing her two active boys with her husband. They enjoy being outdoors as a family, sports and traveling.
